Flying Safe
Is Tandem Paragliding Safe?
Yes. Tandem paragliding with a certified pilot has an excellent safety record. Here is exactly how we make sure every flight is as safe as it is unforgettable.
Certified Pilots
Our pilot holds a tandem paragliding licence issued by the Civil Aviation Agency of Slovenia (CAA) and is a mountain guide apprentice certified by ZGVS, the Slovenian Mountain Guides Association, affiliated with IFMGA. These are the highest recognised standards in Slovenia and internationally. Certifications are renewed on a fixed schedule.
Inspected Equipment
Every wing, harness, and reserve parachute is certified to EN/LTF standards and inspected regularly by a certified professional. Equipment is retired well before it reaches the end of its service life.
We Only Fly When Conditions Are Right
The go/no-go decision is made on the morning of each flight using live weather data, forecasts, and the pilot's direct experience reading the Soča Valley. If anything looks marginal, we reschedule. Safety is never traded for a schedule.
Full Safety Briefing Before Every Flight
Before takeoff you receive a complete briefing: how to run during launch, how to sit in the harness, and what to do at landing. The entire flight is dual-controlled. Your pilot makes every decision in the air.
An Excellent Safety Record
Tandem flights with certified pilots are among the safest adventure activities available. The vast majority of paragliding incidents involve solo pilots operating beyond their limits. In tandem flying, your pilot assesses and controls every risk.
